Screaming Eagles Deal Pierogis 12-3 Loss
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles put together a convincing win at Field of the Rawhides, defeating the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 12-3. Orlando Rodríguez was one of the hitting stars. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for Mercer Island. Nick Johnston got the win, improving to 7-1. He held the Pierogis to 2 runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 0. The Screaming Eagles improved to a lofty 47-16.
