Riding the 3-hit performance of the 25-year old first baseman Norberto Carrillo, the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks stopped the Asheville Highlanders, 5-2. Picking up the save was Greg Lovell, his 2nd. The Thunder Hawks raised their record to 22-36.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Greg Lovell didn't flinch. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Asheville trailing 4-2, Lovell retired John Weber to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Lovell, with a wink.
