José Zamora never let the Thunder Hawks get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Screaming Eagles to a win, 4-0. Zamora got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed no hits and walked 2 over 5 innings. Zamora allowed no runs. Mercer Island, at 41-15, is cruising.

Brian Neame put Mercer Island in front, 4-0, when he hit a 2-run home run off Vicente Valentín in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 7th home run of the season.

Neame attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
