|
Billings third baseman Steve Edwards played a vital role in his team's 7-3 triumph over Ft. Polk South. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Billings. The Polar Bears improve their record to 8-40 with the win over Ft. Polk South.
Edwards contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Billings in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Edwards took a sinker from Vicente Valentín and stroked the home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Polar Bears to leap in front, 5-2.
"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Edwards.
