Screaming Eagles Beat Highlanders, 4-2

Mercer Island Grounds was the site of a competitive game between the Asheville Highlanders and Mercer Island Screaming Eagles.
Getting an impressive start from José Zamora, Mercer Island beat Asheville by the score of 4-2. Juan Carrillo collected his 1st save.
With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Noel Higgins had a game-changing hit. The Screaming Eagles shortstop slammed a run-scoring single off Carter Bishop, making the score 4-2, Mercer Island.
"I thought we played a nice game," Zamora told the Mercer Island Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
With the win, Mercer Island goes to 20-9, while the Highlanders fall to 17-12.
