Thunder Hawks Deal Krewe 4-2 Defeat
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks overcame a good performance by Crescent City first baseman Huub Oerlemans to knock off Crescent City, 4-2, at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. Oerlemans went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. The winner in relief was Sergio Rocha. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. Lloyd Anderson collected his 1st save.

A key moment came in the bottom of the fourth inning when Thunder Hawks designated hitter Gilby O'Bryan socked a 2-0 curveball to left for a 2-run single, putting Ft. Polk South up, 4-2.

After the game, Ft. Polk South manager Mike Evans applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.

Losses have been few and far between for the Krewe, who are now 14-4.
