Alaskan Bush Pilots starter Eric Edwards was in fine form against the Rocky Mountain Vibes at Bellevue Field, leading his team to a win, 3-2. Edwards got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Edwards allowed 2 runs. The loss drops Rocky Mountain to 2-2.
Alaskan used the clutch hitting of Chris Curry to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bush Pilots ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Rocky Mountain skipper John Simpson.
