Crescent City right-hander Rock DeVote helped his team edge Mercer Island by the score of 3-2. DeVote kept the opposing lineup in check. Crescent City reliever Sang Song was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Pedro Salazar. Wyatt Butler nailed down his 1st save.
Kevin Swanson drove in one run for Crescent City. The 26-year old right-handed pitcher had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Pedro Salazar. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," DeVote told the Crescent City Times. "But we take nothing for granted."
Crescent City is now 4-1.
