Thunder Hawks Pick Up 8-6 Win
The Crescent City Krewe inaugurated the 2054 campaign with a disappointing 8-6 loss to the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks at Field of the Krewe. Ft. Polk South left fielder Brian Bane had a big impact on the outcome. He was 1 for 2 with a double and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

Ft. Polk South used a well-timed hit by Gilby O'Bryan to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to put the Thunder Hawks ahead, 5-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"We'll savor this win," Bane told the Ft. Polk South Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."
