The Yakima Hops downed the Bethesda Atoms, 9-4, at Hops Park. The Hops were led by Hsueh-liang Kam. He went 2-5 with a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was Rob Dougherty. He tossed 112 pitches over 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. The third-place Hops raised their record to 53-45.

The Hops got an important contribution from left fielder Donovan Edwards, who in the bottom of the fifth punched a 0-1 changeup into center for a run-scoring double. It was his 31st double of the season and put the Hops ahead, 3-2.
