Losing Streak Continues for Atoms with 5-4 Loss to Eclipse
Northville first baseman Paolo Roelands helped his team beat the Bethesda Atoms, 5-4. Roelands went 2 for 4 for the Eclipse. The winning pitcher was Steve Boyd. His record is now 4-1. The right-hander went 5 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits for the Eclipse. The slumping Atoms have lost 8 straight.

Roelands contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Northville in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Roelands took a cutter from Álex López and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Eclipse to leap in front, 5-4.
