It wasn't easy but the Ottawa Fat Cats made it look that way.

Starter George Taylor shut out the Virginia Beach Whales despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Ottawa Fat Cats cruised to victory, 6-0. Taylor allowed only 6 hits and rang up 4 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

In 15 starts this season Taylor has rung up a 8-5 record and a 3.86 ERA.
