The Olympia Ogres defeated the Bethesda Atoms, 5-3, at Atoms Field today. Leading the charge for Olympia was designated hitter Alfredo Robles. He was 1 for 1 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Rob Phillips got the win, improving to 4-1. He held the Atoms to 2 runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Sergio Carrasco was credited with the save for Olympia, his 6th of the season.

In the top of the sixth, Olympia shortstop Luis Tañón hit a two-strike fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It put the Ogres up, 3-2.

"I still think this team can play even better," Robles told the Olympia Daily News.
