Virginia Beach rode a decent outing from starter Connor Drake to victory over the Olympia Ogres. The final score was 5-2. Carlos Mejía earned the save, his 17th. The Whales saw their record improve to 29-35.

Virginia Beach used the clutch hitting of Fernando Tabárez to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Whales the lead, 3-2. For the game, Tabárez had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
