Ogres Beat Miners, 4-1
|
Olympia beat Marquette on the strength of starter Ken Milligan's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-1. Milligan, the winner, moves to 4-6. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 1 walk. Sergio Carrasco was credited with the save for Olympia, his 3rd of the season.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the third inning, but Milligan was able to pitch out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Marquette trailing 2-1, Milligan retired Christian Wade, who grounded out.
Olympia is now 35-28, Marquette 29-34.
