Ogres Lose By a Run at Gulf Coast, 2-1
|
Getting an impressive start from Seppo Seppänen, Gulf Coast beat Olympia by the score of 2-1. Gulf Coast is now 28-31.
Sergio Poston drove in 2 runs for Gulf Coast. The 24-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Sloan Boyd. It was his 21st RBI of the season.
"Seppo -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Turbeaus manager Mike Norman. "He was the key to us winning."
