The Providence Pilgrims overcame a fine performance by Bethesda center fielder Jesse Young to defeat the Atoms, 5-3, at Atoms Field. Young was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs. Matt Smith picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 9. On the season, he is now 1-4.
