Gulf Coast starter Héctor Peña had a strong outing against the Olympia Ogres at The Ogre Den. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. In 6.1 innings, Peña surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. The save went to Alfredo Ramos, number 1 for him.
In the top of the seventh, Gulf Coast shortstop Sergio Poston hit a run-scoring single to left field. The clutch hit made it, 2-1, Turbeaus.
