Ríos Delivers 2-1 Win
|
Vancouver turned a good effort from starter Fernando Ríos into a win over the Pittsburgh Kingfishers at Wolf Den in Vancouver. The final score was 2-1. The save went to Andy Harvey, number 1 for him. The Grey Wolves now have a record of 41-41 with the win over Pittsburgh.
Ríos, a native of Lakewood, New Jersey, was dealing all game. He kept Pittsburgh hitters off-balance, while giving the Grey Wolves 7.1 quality innings. Ríos threw 89 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 8.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Pittsburgh manager Tyler Johnson. "The effort was great."
