Olympia picked up a win at Marquette Stadium, toppling the Marquette Miners, 6-4. Pitcher David Brandon was one of the reasons the Ogres triumphed. Brandon, now 1-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Earning his 4th save for Olympia was José Salinas.

Olympia used the bat of Joe Warner to capture the win. The center fielder jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Ogres ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Adrián Hernández, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."

Marquette, now 2-10, continues its dreadful start.
