The Ottawa Fat Cats picked up a win at Hops Park, knocking off the Yakima Hops, 6-4. Starting pitcher George Taylor played a key role in the triumph. Hui Loh earned the save for Ottawa, his 3rd of the year. The Fat Cats raised their record to 7-4.

Ottawa used the clutch hitting of Mark Eigts to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fat Cats ahead, 6-4. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Ottawa manager Ismael González.
