Boston turned a good effort from starter Tai sun Rang into a win over the Buffalo White Walkers at Dunkin Donuts Park. The final score was 5-2. Rang went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-0. Boston goes to 48-33, Buffalo to 39-42.
The Patriots got an important contribution from center fielder Bill Zimmerman, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a first pitch changeup into left for a 2-run double. It was his 17th double of the season and put the Patriots ahead, 3-1.
"Tai sun was Tai sun," said Patriots manager Tyler Carter. "He gave it all he's got."
