Cattlemen Snag 2-0 Win
|
In a tight game between the Ft. Worth Cattlemen and the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, pitcher Jeff McFarland was terrific on the mound. The Ft. Worth right-hander helped his team to the 2-0 win. Marc Potts earned save number 2 this season. Ft. Worth, now 6-2, is playing great baseball to start the year.
Masafumi Kawaguchi, who finished 2nd in the PL in batting average with .333 in 2046, contributed to the Ft. Worth win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the catcher had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"We think we're a good team overall, so we're not too surprised to win today," said McFarland.
