Evans Twirls a Gem for Casper
The Casper Ghosts topped the Pine Island Dolphins, 6-0, in M3L Double A action at The Graveyard. The game was highlighted by the performance of Casper pitcher Tom Evans. Casper now sits at 45-48, while Pine Island falls to 53-40.

Evans, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited effort. The hurler struck out 7 in 8 innings and gave up no runs.

Evans, who is tied for 6th in the 3AA in holds with 6, moves to 6-0 on the year with 73 strikeouts.

In comments to the Casper News, Evans admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
