|
The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis picked up a win at Mariachi Band Shell, knocking off the Westwood Sixshooters, 3-2. Starting pitcher Albert Wallace was a big reason why. In 8 innings, Wallace surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. The Sixshooters, at 44-42, have lost 4 in a row.
Having an impact for Nuevo Mexico was Danny Kemp. In the bottom of the sixth inning, the 22-year old shortstop had a run-scoring walk to make the score 2-0, Mariachis.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Wallace said.
