Fur Traders Fall to Mariachis, 5-2

Nuevo Mexico and Tacoma got after it at Mariachi Band Shell.
The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis handed the Tacoma Fur Traders a loss at Mariachi Band Shell. The final score was 5-2. Major production was provided by Germán Salazar for Nuevo Mexico. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 3. He also added 1 walk. The winning pitcher was Albert Wallace. His record is now 5-5. The left-hander went 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits for the Mariachis.
Nuevo Mexico took a 5-2 lead on Salazar's 13th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Ramón Mendoza in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Nuevo Mexico to the win.
