Blues Trip Javelina, 4-2, in Extra Innings
|
The Barton Springs Blues defeated the Arizona Javelina, 4-2, in M3L Double A action at Javelina Ballpark. Barton Springs pitcher Julius Angrenny had a standout performance. The winner in relief was Wladimir Rosenburg. He is now 3-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Barton Springs has a record of 36-34, placing them 5th in the Menard's AA.
Runs were scarce in this one. So, Will Moon's at-bat in the top of the 11th was vitally important. With two out, the Barton Springs shortstop reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run, to give his team a 3-2 lead.
Angrenny told a Barton Springs Chronicle reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
