Mariachis, Salazar Pin Bad Loss on Ghosts
A 5-RBI performance from Germán Salazar, who is tied for 4th in the 3AA with a .313 batting average, helped the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis beat the Casper Ghosts, 10-1. Nuevo Mexico pitcher Ernie Gibson got the win. He's now 3-2. John Bunch was tagged with the loss. Casper is in the throes of a 9-game skid.

With Nuevo Mexico leading 7-1 in the bottom of the eighth, Salazar hit a 3-run home run off Casper hurler Tom Evans. It was the 10th home run of the season for Salazar and put his team ahead, 10-1.

"It was full throttle on our side," said Salazar.
