Fine Effort by Ren Not Enough in 9-8 White Walkers Loss
Beyond the Wall was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Vancouver Grey Wolves and Buffalo White Walkers.

Buffalo left fielder Yong-hong Ren had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 9-8, to Vancouver at Beyond the Wall. Ren went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Harry Richter, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on no hits in 1.2 innings.

Vancouver used the clutch hitting of Mariano Juderías to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Grey Wolves the lead, 6-5. For the game, Juderías had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Juderías. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."

The win leaves Vancouver with a record of 2-6.
