Lakers Need Extra Frames to Get Past Northern Lions BC
|
Echo Park starter George Hensley had a strong outing against the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at LA Forum. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 1-0 win. Echo Park reliever Edemona Babitu was the winner. His record is now 1-3. Nolan McGowan took the loss. The Lakers go to 41-67, putting them last in the Third League.
The Lakers relied on third baseman Shaun Kingsley for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 12th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring double to seal the deal.
Kingsley said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
