The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids trumped the Echo Park Lakers, 10-5, at Atlantica. Northern Virginia left fielder Gerben Pauw was terrific. He went 3-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Javier Cuesta. He's now 9-5. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 11 hits for the Rainbow Mermaids. The 4th-place Rainbow Mermaids have won 5 in a row.
