Flamingos Drop Divided, 2-1

The Las Vegas Flamingos topped the D.C. Divided, 2-1, in Menard's Third League action at Washington Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Las Vegas pitcher and Ft. Worth, Texas, native Troy Dalton. Dalton went 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-7. Don Williams earned his 8th save in 12 chances.
Mike Gilmore hit a 2-run triple off William Turner in the top of the seventh, which put the Flamingos in front, 2-0. Gilmore had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 3.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Dalton.
Las Vegas is now 46-48.
