There was no shortage of dramatics at Wolf Den in Vancouver.

The Vancouver Grey Wolves defeated the Boston Patriots, 8-7, in United States Premier League action at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Gerald Riley pulled his weight. The 8-year veteran was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Vancouver reliever Michael Knight picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Jorge Gil took the loss.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 7-7, third baseman Basilio Penni won it for Vancouver. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Penni hit a 2-2 curveball from Jorge Gil for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 8-7 win.

"Glad to see the fans get into it," said Riley.

The Grey Wolves are now 35-31, while the Patriots fall to 38-28.
