Thunder Bay catcher Ricardo Flores played a vital role in his team's 11-5 triumph over Buckhead. He was 2-2 with 2 singles, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch for Thunder Bay. Tan Reijssen was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. The Northern Lions BC are now 33-38, while the Bowties fall to 38-33.
Claudio Sosa dealt the Bowties a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Thunder Bay leading 4-3, Sosa hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.
