Hurricanes Get 3-2 Win Versus Northern Virginia
|
The Cape Coral Hurricanes scored a tight 3-2 win versus the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Factory of Sadness. Cape Coral pitcher Ricardo Ramírez held his own in the contest. In 7 innings, Ramírez surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Sun Tah earned the save for Cape Coral, his 20th of the year.
The Hurricanes got an important contribution from right fielder Raúl Miranda, who in the bottom of the fourth knocked a 0-1 changeup into right-center for a 2-run triple. It was his 5th triple of the season and put the Hurricanes ahead, 3-0.
Miranda called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
