McGruffin Pops Two Homers in 9-6 Win for Charleston
Charleston first baseman Ruff McGruffin had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Detroit Elite, 9-6. Charleston reliever Miguel Hernández got the win, raising his record to 2-1. David Hudson was tagged with the loss. At 29-31, the Battery find themselves in 7th place in the Third League.

Early in the game, McGruffin had a 2-run home run for Charleston. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Battery on top, 6-4.

"We got the victory," said McGruffin. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
