Farmers Knock Off Fur Traders at Farmers Field
|
The Lancaster Farmers got a strong performance from pitcher Joe Gunn, who stymied the Tacoma offense en route to a win, 4-0, at Farmers Field. Dave Pickett closed the door for Lancaster, picking up his 1st save of the year. The win has Lancaster at 5-6.
Making an impact for the home team was Sammy Holman. In the bottom of the third, the 22-year old left fielder had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Farmers.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Holman.
