The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds topped the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 5-0, with left fielder Ron Tagwerker playing a big role. Tagwerker was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Fighting Dachshunds in the win. George Gross, now 1-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. Ellenburg, with the win, climbs to 27-64.

Ming Wang had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Ellenburg. He came through with a 2-run single to put Ellenburg in front, 3-0.
