Pride Top Fighting Dachshunds, 2-1
|
Ellenburg got a big-time effort from pitcher Thomas Canó, but it wasn't enough to keep the Hartford Pride from winning the game, 2-1. Canó threw 8.0 innings allowing 1 runs for the losing team. Ellenburg's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 18th inning, when Hartford catcher Elvin Cook, facing Alberto Jiménez, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Pride the 2-1 win.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Cook.
