Thunderbirds Lose By a Run at Kansas, 4-3
The Kansas Rainbeaus weathered a fine game by Hamilton third baseman John Tolbert to upend the Thunderbirds, 4-3, at Wichita Field. Tolbert was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Earning his 5th save of the year was Bruno Dares. The victory puts Kansas at 26-39.

Santiago Harmon had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for Kansas. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Kansas in front, 4-1.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Harmon told the Kansas Observer. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
