Late Magic Gets Hamilton 4-1 Win
|
Hamilton Thunderbirds starter Donald Kane was in fine form against the Pennsauken Flyers at Pennsauken Park, leading his team to a win, 4-1. Kane, now 4-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Earning his 3rd save for Hamilton was Pei Fa.
Hamilton catcher Brandon Smith produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the eighth with Carlos Rosas on the mound and Hamilton leading 2-1. Smith hit a sacrifice fly.
"It makes it a little nicer in the clubhouse when we win," said Kane. "It eases the tension."
The Thunderbirds move to 27-36 with the win, while the Flyers drop to 36-27.
