Redlegs Squelch Rocks Offense in Shutout Win
Sacramento starter Shem Burkholder pitched well against the Plymouth Rocks at Sacramento Sanitation Station. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-0. José Salinas was credited with the save for Sacramento, his 8th of the season. Sacramento goes to 39-22. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.

The Redlegs got an important contribution from designated hitter Theo Belcher, who in the bottom of the first knocked a 1-1 slider into right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Redlegs ahead, 2-0.

"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Belcher told the Sacramento Chronicle. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
