Dodos Lose Late, 4-3
|
The Pennsauken Flyers took Hialeah pitcher Robert Joubert's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Dodos Ballpark. The final score had Pennsauken getting past the Dodos, 4-3. Joubert went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 8. Pennsauken reliever Carlos Rosas picked up the win, raising his record to 4-2. Dan Carter was tagged with the loss. The save went to King Nelson, his 12th this season.
Pennsauken used the timely hitting of Salvador Berrocal to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Flyers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Hialeah manager Billy Strauss.
Pennsauken has a record of 36-24, placing them third in the Silver AAA.
