Thunderbirds Sink Rainbeaus, 4-2
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 32-year old center fielder Greg Erwin, the Hamilton Thunderbirds stopped the Kansas Rainbeaus, 4-2. Hamilton, at 20-31, holds down 8th place in the Silver AAA.
Hamilton used a well-timed hit by Victor Porter to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Thunderbirds ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Hamilton skipper León Domínguez. "I can't complain."
