Fog Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Dodos
|
The Sunset District Fog picked up a win at Fog Park, courtesy of Félix López. The right-hander helped his team stop the Hialeah Dodos, 3-1. López went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-1. Earning his 8th save of the year was Cam Butler.
Tommy Spillman contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With a runner on 1st, he drew a walk. It was one at-bat that helped Sunset District get the win.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said López. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
Sunset District is now 25-25, while Hialeah is 25-25.
