The Pennsauken Flyers had to overcome a good performance from Hialeah pitcher Chip Sizemore to claim a 2-1 win at Dodos Ballpark. Sizemore went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Hideyoshi Sasaki picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Jack Elvidge was tagged with the loss. With the win, the Flyers have a record of 27-17.

Pennsauken used the timely hitting of Pedro Romero to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Flyers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll savor this win," Romero told the Pennsauken Today, "then get ready for the next game."
