8-2 Loss to Thunderbirds Extends Kansas Losing Streak
|
The Hamilton Thunderbirds defeated the Kansas Rainbeaus, 8-2. Doing his part was center fielder Greg Erwin, who was 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2. Felipe Croonenborgh earned the win for Hamilton. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. The slumping Rainbeaus have dropped 6 in a row.
The fans who came to support the Thunderbirds were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Coyote Wildlife Refuge.
"What we get, we earn," Erwin told the Hamilton Bulletin.
