The Pennsauken Flyers picked up a win at Pride Park, knocking off the Hartford Pride, 5-1. On the mound for Pennsauken was right-hander Bob Hickey, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Flyers now have a record of 15-9.

With runs few and far between, the Flyers had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Pennsauken came in the top of the second inning, when shortstop Fred McElroy delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off David Fisher and made the score 1-0, Flyers. McElroy went 1 for 2 with a walk.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Hartford manager Terry King.
