Thunderbirds Get Past Sunset District for 2-1 Win
In a well-pitched game between the Hamilton Thunderbirds and the Sunset District Fog, pitcher Felipe Hernández was fantastic. The Hamilton right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-1. Raúl Martínez, now 1-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 1. Hamilton goes to 9-11.

Runs were hard to come by in this one. Ron Johnson's at-bat with two out in the top of the eighth, therefore, was critical. The Hamilton second baseman drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to put his team on top, 2-1.

"We were in it," said Sunset District manager Brady Bess. "We just didn't score enough runs."
