Dacanay Excels in 6-2 Hialeah Win
|
The Hialeah Dodos stymied the Pennsauken Flyers, 6-2, at Pennsauken Park. Ronald Dacanay had a good day at the plate. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Hialeah. Ricardo Corona, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-1. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3. The win gives Hialeah a record of 10-10.
In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Dacanay hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.
"I believe in our guys," said Hialeah skipper Billy Strauss. "I like the energy they're playing with."
